The Elizabeth Tweneboah Inititative.

The Promise to Empower.
Named for Miss Ohenewah's grandmother, Elizabeth Tweneboah, the Elizabeth Tweneboah Initiative is a social endeavor that empowers aspiring lawyers from non-traditional backgrounds to pursue legal education. The Initiative's mission centers on helping aspiring lawyers to actualize their full power and endorses the obtainment of the Juris Doctor as a vehicle for achieving this.
The Elizabeth Tweneboah Initiative provides immediate support in the form of one-on-one mentorship meetings with undergraduates and postgraduates from non-traditional paths who are contemplating the pursuit of a legal career. Its future aim is to offer financial assistance to help offset the costs associated with applications to law school. While the Initiative's core focus is on prospective and current non-traditional law students, all are welcome to request mentorship.
Ultimately, the Elizabeth Tweneboah Initiative celebrates the notion of being "atypical" and straying from "neatly fitting in." It embraces the idea of the innovative lawyer who takes risks and pioneers new modes of thinking and being. It promotes the principle that a good lawyer may follow tried and true paths; however, an excellent lawyer creates new paths for all to follow.
In this spirit, the Elizabeth Tweneboah Initiative promises to empower the non-traditional lawyer to be everything they are meant to be.
