Her critical thought was informed

by her ability to feel.


By her ability to sense when situations were off,

even with the slightest deviations of pattern.

By observing the misplacement of certain details.

By observing the absence of key facial expressions.


By noticing a delayed vocal cadence.

By listening intently to all that was said

and by listening even more to all that went unsaid.

By feeling changes in energy and posture.

By remembering events, their trajectories, and their repetitions.


So, to others, she was too much

because she observed too much

and therefore understood too much.

So would this be.
